I rarely ever show my "work in progress" because quite frankly I don't think my stuff changes all that much from when I first draw it to when it's finished.

But I figured what the hell? why not. In case anyone was curious to see the progression of my last upload.

My laptop is REALLY old and I downloaded SAI and my laptop isn't updated enough for it :(
So I can't use SAI to make art like this...
What program would I use to make something like this, but for an old laptop?

I don't have SAI so I wouldn't know how to help you.

But for this I used photoshop CS3 but you can do the same thing with Photoshop 7 and it works fine on laptops.

Thank you! I try to get them really nice so that I fuck up less when I ink it.

I use non-photo blue Staedtler pencils

Hmmm, you use those blue pencils.... I've always wondered whether they were any good, I've always used plain old graphite pencils before; anyway, Badass! This looks great, especially those skates, that's probably the most badass footwear I've ever laid eyes upon.

Yes! I use non-photo blue Staedtler pencils. the non-photo blue pencils are my fav! they make digital coloring a BREEZE.

Well, the sketch is very useful to get anathomy (and clothes on!) right. I can tell you work a lot on the sketch and manage to get it as good as possible so that the inking and coloring become a lot more comfortable.

I think I'll try this meme too!
