For those of you who read my journals you'd know that I have recently become very active in the world of Roller Derby, I HAD NO IDEA that my shitty little city had its own league! I go to the games infact there’s one coming up this Saturday I’m headed too AND I just ordered myself a set of cheap-O skates on eBay (I’m not made of money to buy a SAFE pair) and soon hopfully I'll be on a team myself,

Which brings us to the art! This is the first roller girl themed pic I’ve posted but not the first one I've done. So you'll be seeing more X3 I loooove everything about roller derby, the thrill of the game, the team unity, the beaten and bashed nature and the cute derby outfits! What’s not to love!? I was inspired, a fresh spark I haven’t felt fer a long time. This song helped inspire it too, it's like a roller girl anthem! I used candy because if any of my characters are used to a lil bruising, it's her.

side bar - Funny, It takes me 20 minutes to sign into my messengers but it's a breeze to upload shit to DA, what kind of pick and choose virus have I got on my hands this time? Regardless, I WAS supposed to reformat my computer today but even that has bumps in the road, (any tech nerds out there wanna give me a hand?)

I love it :D i just got into Roller Derby too and having a blast with it. Next year im trying out for the team ^^ Roller Girls we are Awesome :D

do you have to be real skinny to do this because i'm kinda neither over or under weight but i'm not little and almost 6 foot... i don't like short shorts though is there a way around that?

well, I do have an updated version of this piece out [link]

and no, you don't have to be skinny to do it, as you can see the girl in this picture is muscular. but roller derby is actually better if you a bit thicker, it's really for the bigger girls.

Uhm....theres not really a away around the short shorts though, I depend on the teams uniform your on but most every teams uniform is short shirts of short shorts becuase it's easier to skate in.

i think if i wore baggy and easy to move in longer shorts. you know, between berduma shorts and short shorts. made out of football jersey stuff. that would work. i just am modest :/ i saw a couple girls wearing keprees and higher necked shirts. if i'm going to be athletic like that, i'd rather not be worried about showing anything.

Freakin Amazing!!!! i love it!!! i am a big fan of Derby, i myself felt lost untill i found my Derby Team...i am a NSO......With out it i would have never felt that amazing rush... Thank you for this amazing piece......
